Weaving Residency at Freeweaver Studio July/August 2025
A Tranquil Creative Escape in the Heart of London
Our weaving residency offers independent makers, designers, and textile artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in focused creative work, surrounded by the calm and rhythm of the loom. Whether you’re developing a collection, exploring new ideas, or simply reconnecting with your craft, our studio provides the space, materials, and support to bring your vision to life.
What’s Included:
• Studio access: 8 hours per day, Wednesday to Sunday (10-6pm)
• Japanese Floor looms provided: Fully set up with technical support to get you started
• Sustainable materials: A curated selection of eco-friendly yarns is included
• Technical assistance: Support with loom setup, troubleshooting, and practical advice during your residency
• A peaceful workspace: A tranquil environment designed to support creativity and focus

Fee: £750 per week, including yarns
✅ Terms and Conditions:
• Bookings are subject to availability.
• Full payment is required to secure your dates.
• Residency access is 5 consecutive weekdays Wednesday-Sunday, 8 hours per day.
• Cancellations made 21 days or more before the start date are refundable (minus a £100 admin fee).
• Cancellations with less than 21 days’ notice are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once, subject to availability.
• The fee includes the use of sustainable yarns supplied in the studio. You’re welcome to bring additional materials if desired.
• Technical support is provided but does not replace full tuition. This residency is designed for independent makers with basic loom weaving knowledge. Beginners may request an additional orientation session (fees apply).
• Participants must not share studio access with anyone outside of the residency unless by prior arrangement.
• The studio is a respectful, calm, shared space. Please maintain a peaceful working atmosphere.
• Any damage to equipment beyond reasonable use may incur repair costs.
